Wört3r

WÖRT3R is an interactive spatial installation based on sculptural letterforms originally developed during a workshop with Franziska Windolf at the Hamburg State Teachers’ Institute (LI). The clay objects were photographed in high resolution and translated into a projection setup operating through alternating red and blue image states, referencing 3D space in video technology.

A projected “WÖRT3R” inscription appears either on the wall or on the opposing touchscreen display, while the respective second surface remains temporarily blank. Through the movement and positioning of viewers interacting with the sculptural interface, different image constellations become visible and continuously shift between presence and absence.

Oscillating between projection, display and objecthood, the work explores unstable conditions of reading, perception and spatial mediation. The alternating color filters and split visual structure create a perceptual tension between physical and virtual image spaces.
